London City Airport is the UK's leading airport for business travel, providing links to more than 30 locations across Britain, Europe and the United States. London City is primarily used as a business travel hub but has recently expanded its leisure operations.

How to get to London City Airport

London City Airport is accessible via a number of public transport links, including the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), which connects east London to the capital's Underground network. Journey times start from less than seven minutes to Canning Town or Woolwich Arsenal, 17 minutes to Stratford International and 22 minutes to Bank.
Bus services are also available from locations such as Stratford, North Woolwich and East Beckton.
People travelling by train from outside London can head to National Rail stations like London Bridge, Waterloo and Stratford International and use the Underground and DLR to reach the airport.
Motorists will find the main terminal entrance on Hartmann Road, outside London's congestion charge zone.

The airport

London City is a single-runway airport with one terminal featuring 22 check-in desks, as well as self-service kiosks for people flying with Air France, British Airways, Lufthansa, Luxair and Swiss International Airlines.
The base claims to offer the shortest check-in times of any airport in London.
After completing the necessary procedures upon arrival at London City, passengers can make use of some of the amenities on offer, such as Pret A Manger, the Caffe Nero and Espressamente Illy coffee bars, the City Bar and Grill, and the Rhubarb restaurant, which serves a modern British menu.
Shoppers can pick up some reading material at WHSmith, search for duty-free bargains at Aelia Travel Shopping or browse through the luxury jewellery and accessories on sale at Gassan.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available to all passengers throughout London City Airport, providing a useful service for everyone from corporate travellers keeping in touch with business contacts to holidaymakers doing some research on their destination.
